Registration

  • What is included in the registration fee for the Leadership Summit on Tobacco Control?

    Registration includes the Summit attendance and unlimited access to all content produced for the Summit. The registration fee will allow live participation in sessions and Q&As, access to all slides, access to partners areas and on-demand recordings of all sessions.

  • What are the different registration types? Are there discounted rates?

    The registration fees are now available on our dedicated registration page.

    Reduced rates are available for students or young professionals, nurses and low- and middle-income country residents.

    • Students: All those in training are eligible for these rates. Delegates registered in this category will need to upload documented proof of enrolment in a University programme when completing their registration.
    • Nurses: Delegates registered in this category will need to upload documented proof of being registered as a nurse when completing their registration.
    • Low and lower-middle income country residents: Participants residing in countries classified by the World Bank as low or lower-middle income economies may attend the Leadership Summit on Tobacco Control at a reduced rate.The country list available on the registration platform is based on the WHO 194 Member States.

  • Is it possible to have a sponsored registration?

    Low and lower middle-income registrants will have the opportunity to apply for a sponsored registration.  The registrant will be asked to write a 300 words motivation letter explaining how the work in the tobacco control field will contribute to ending tobacco epidemic.

    Applicants who are not accepted for a sponsored registration will still be able to pay their registration with the same profile and benefit from the early registration fee.

    Application submission closes on Friday, 30 July 2021 at 18:00 CET.

  • What are the conditions to register?

    Transparency is a condition of participation at the Leadership Summit on Tobacco Control. Each registrant will be asked to complete a mandatory “conflict of interest” clause before finalising their registration.

    The WCTOH Secretariat will carefully review each registration and in case of information discrepancy, the Secretariat reserves the right to approve or reject a registration without any obligation for organisers.

  • Why can’t I find my country name on the registration platform?

    The country list available on the registration platform only includes the WHO 194 recognised Member States. Only participants from the listed countries will be able to attend to Leadership Summit on Tobacco Control.

  • What are the payment conditions?

    All registrations must be accompanied by the necessary payment in Euros. Registration will be confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Payment is accepted by debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).

    Please note that payments through bank transfer will only be accepted until 14 days prior to the Summit start date. Bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the registrant.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Delegates are able to cancel their registration and receive a refund. However, a management fee of 25 EUR will apply. Knowing that this event is fully virtual and that all the content will be available on demand, our policy stipulates that no registration cancellation or refunds will be possible up to 8 weeks prior to the event start date.

    Refunds payments will be processed only after the Summit end date.

    Please note that in case your registration is cancelled as a result of “conflict of interest”, the WCTOH Secretariat reserves the right to define whether a refund is applicable or not.

  • Is it possible to change the registrant’s name?

    Name changes are possible before the payment is settled and the registration is fully confirmed. The “Conflict of Interest” form will need to be re-completed by the new registered person.

    Following the Summit postponement, individuals who settled their registration fee before Tuesday, 30 March will be able to request a name change, applicable only once. Please send your requests to registration@theunion.org
